Speeders:Fast, low flying mechanical creations of awesome!

>> Friday, February 3, 2012

I sure I am not the only person to have been walking around a Fleet station at level 10 and saw a person on a speeder fly past me and though "MAN! I gotta have one!"  The wait to lvl25 to buy one was a killer, though not too long. However, once I went to buy a speeder, I suddenly found myself in a very familiar situation. In WoW, I was a bit of a crazy mount collector and had 100+ mounts.  Now, here I am again, looking down the barrel of a blaster full of crazy collecting again. So I thought, Here is an opportunity to help out my fellow collectors and place some of the cards on the table about speeders.

First off, yes, there are a LOT of speeders in swtor. At my last count, there are about 54 or so speeders in swtor at the moment. The range from the simple vendor speeders you can buy at lvl25 all the way to the speeders that requires valor rank 65 and costs 1,000 commendations of both Warzone and Mercenary. There are basically 3 categories for these, Hoverbikes, Speederbikes and Landspeeders. Here is a short breakdown of just a few of the speeders that are available.

So with just being a small taste of what is available in the line of personal transportation, you can imagine the call to those of us that enjoy collecting.  This is going to be a long, fun trip getting all of them.  I gotta give Bioware even more credit in that they cover all three styles nicely and have enough diversity to make them worth trying to collect.  And is it just me, or does the Korrealis Sovereign look a lot like an A-wing? lol.

Hope this set your collecting bug ablaze, or at least let those of you out there that just want something different know that there are different ones out there, you just have to look for them. For the full list of speeders, head on over to SWTOR Things and let the drooling begin.
